Launch of Express-АМ7

Intersputnik’s strategic partner the Russian Satellite Communications Company added on March 19, 2015 another satellite to its fleet. Express-AM7 was launched on a Proton-M rocket from Baikonur Cosmodrome at 40E.

The satellite was built for RSCC by Airbus DS (former EADS Astrium) under the Federal Program for the Development of Video and Audio Broadcasting in Russia in 2009–2015. It is intended for broadcasting, data transmission, broadband access, multimedia, and mobile services.

Intersputnik congratulates its partners on the successful launch, which will help continue international satellite telecommunications projects in India and the Near East.
