Intersputnik will participate in the 74th International Astronautical Congress (IAC 2023), which will be held from 2 to 6 October 2023 in Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan. Intersputnik is honoured to become a silver sponsor for this important and respected event in advancing the global space industry and to present its exposition.
As envisioned by the organisers, IAC 2023 will bring together more than 5,000 decision makers and key representatives of the global space community, ready to share the full potential of space for the benefit of humanity. Intersputnik, following the principles of open and equal cooperation, actively supports the initiatives of the Congress organisers and uses its technical and intellectual resources to develop space technologies to improve the quality of life of people around the world.
Intersputnik's exposition will be located in the exhibition pavilion of the Baku Convention Complex at stand No. 418. On the opening day of the Congress, Monday 2 October 2023, a presentation of paintings by young Azerbaijani artists will take place at the Organization's stand (starting from 13:10).
A multinational team of young talents from Intersputnik Member States and Signatories will be working at the Organization's stand throughout the exhibition.
As part of the IAC 2023 business programme, several sessions covering the most significant areas of space industry are planned.
The plenary session Space 2030: Policies and Strategies in the Global Space Economy will discuss policy changes in response to new trends in the space economy. A constructive dialogue is expected among Governments, industry, private sector, academia and society to effectively address emerging challenges in the space ecosystem.
A separate panel will discuss how space technology can be used in disaster prevention and management.
The International Astronautical Federation, the main organiser of the Congress, will hold a session on sustainable space. Representatives of national space agencies will be able to present their views on sustainable space activities. Related issues will be touched upon by a panel where operators will discuss opportunities for cooperation and coordination.
