Launch of Express-АМ8

Intersputnik’s strategic partner Russian Satellite Communications Company (RSCC) added a heavy satellite named Express-AM8 to its fleet. Launched September 14, this satellite will be deployed at 14W.

Express-AM8 was built for RSCC by Reshetnev Information Satellite Systems (Russia) in cooperation with Thales Alenia Space (France).

Carrying 42 transponders in C, Ku, and L bands, the Russian satellite will provide video and audio broadcasting, data, multimedia, and mobile services in South America, Africa, and Europe.
