Intersputnik teems up with DalKom at AfricaCom 2023 in Cape Town

On 14-16 November 2023 in Cape Town, South Africa, Intersputnik in partnership with DalKom Somalia takes part in AfricaCom 2023 exhibition – the largest telecom event in Sub Saharan Africa. DalKom is one of the leading African communication service providers and a Signatory of the Organization for Somalia.

African continent needs a full variety of telecom services and new connections at affordable pricing. After rapid development of optical fiber systems, providing reliable connectivity of the region with Europe, Asia and Middle East, the requirements inside the countries are growing. And importantly, satellite-based solutions not only compete with terrestrial technologies, but also complement them, providing seamless coverage of Africa by hybrid (terrestrial and satellite) networks for the purpose of corporate communications, backhauling, digital inclusion and etc.

At the joint stand, DalKom Somalia and Intersputnik present various hybrid solutions on delivering data and video throughout African continent  based on the up-to-date satellite technologies, using consolidated orbital fleet of the Organization, including 25+ satellites, ground satellite infrastructure of Intersputnik Signatories, and  DalKom Somalia fiber optic network, covering 25+ countries of Africa.

AfricaCom exhibition brings together telecom, broadcasting and digital technologies professionals. It is organized for the 26th time, and is dedicated to the telecommunications industry and digital infrastructure of the African region, as well as to the provision of ICT services and the implementation of projects for the sustainable development of African countries. Along with AfricaTech, which focuses on technology, and Africalgnite, a platform dedicated to startups and innovation, AfricaCom is a part of Africa's largest forum, Africa Tech Festival, which is taking place in Cape Town these days.
